     CLASS DESCRIPTION

Tap Combo - 1HR
1/2 hour of tap technique, barre centre work using tambourines, maracas, etc. The children will learn a song as well as a tap dance to go with it. 15-20 minutes of ballet technique, barre center work learning grace, balance and poise. 10-15 minutes of tumbling on specialized gym mats.
Requirements: White tap shoes and any style ballet slipper along with appropriate dance wear. (leotard, tutu, tights...etc.)

Jazz Combo - 1HR
1/2 hour of shaking and grooving to the latest music while learning style and technique along with the newest dance moves. 15 - 20 minutes of ballet technique, barre and center work learning grace, balance and poise. 10-15 minutes of tumbling on specialized gym mats.
Requirements: Black flat jazz shoes required along with appropriate dance wear.

Jazz/Hip-Hop - 1HR
For the student 8 years old and up learning the latest dance moves incorporating technique, style, balance and Broadway Style Dancing.
Requirements: Black flat jazz shoes required along with appropriate dance wear.

Tap - 1HR
For the student 8 years old and up learning tap technique and style from the Old Time Hoofers to Broadway Shows.
Requirements: Black flat tap shoes required along with appropriate dance wear.

Ballet - 1HR
For students starting 6 years old and up. In this class you will have classical ballet barre learning strength, balance and technique along with center and across the floor training. A classical ballet dance will be taught. At times through out the year, lyrical will be taught which is a form of ballet dance.
Requirements: Pink ballet slippers required with appropriate ballet dance wear.

Pointe - 1/2 HR or 45 MIN
*May only be taken following a Ballet Class and upon the teacher's recommendation.

Modern Dance - 1HR
For students 12 and up. An abstract form of balle, learning strength and flowing movements to music.
Requirements:
Form-fitting dancewear required and bare feet.

Contemporary - 1HR

In this class the choreography uses emotions and music to dictate the dancers’ movements.  Dancers learn to move their bodies in a less restrictive way than in other dance classes. 

Exercise Class - 1HR
Teen/Adult Class incorporating a stretching warm-up, yoga stretches, Pilates strengthening and low impact aerobics.

Acrobatics Class - 1HR

Tiny Tot / Child & Teen classes, Beginner to Advance Acrobatics & floor tumbling.

Turn, Leap & Jump -45MINS

In this class we focus on different kinds of turns, jumps, leaps & kicks including more complicated combinations across the floor and center floor.  Be ready to challenge yourself with fun, new and exciting tricks and turn combos!

Competition Team Teacher's recommendation required for placement on the team along with a signed commitment to the team by both the parent and participant.

Dance Recital
All students are invited to perform in our dance recital, however it is not a requirement.
