IN HER STEPS 

This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Miss Laura by supporting students who have the heart and talent to grow, but not the means to pay their way.

Any high school senior or undergraduate student in Nassau County may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are majoring in dance and if they display a genuine passion and dedication for dance, shown through years of commitment. While financial need is considered and can strengthen an application, it is not required.

To apply, tell us how dance and your time at your studio have impacted who you are, and how you’ll carry that passion forward. Additionally, upload images that show your dance experience, such as team photos or performances.

Miss Laura had a gift for making everyone who walked through her doors feel at home. Her studio was never just a place to take a class it was a place to grow, to learn, and to find a love of dance that lasted a lifetime. She welcomed every dancer as they were and helped them become who they were meant to be.

 

We created the Miss Laura Memorial Dance Scholarship to keep that spirit alive. Each year, this fund helps dancers carry their passion forward supporting current students and recent graduates as they continue to dance in college and chase their dreams beyond the studio floor.

 

But we can only give what our community gives. Every donation, big or small, goes directly to a young dancer who is ready to take their next step. Your gift might be exactly what makes a dancer's dream possible.

We are excited to share that we have registered for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s Together in TEAL® event because we are dedicated to raising awareness and funds in support of the ovarian cancer community.

Our efforts will help improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities who have been impacted by ovarian cancer - but this work cannot be done alone. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of our fundraising goals.

Funds raised for the NOCC support national programs and local community initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs, symptoms, and risks of ovarian cancer, provide quality-of-life and educational resources to survivors and caregivers throughout their journey, and advocate for the advancement of life-saving ovarian cancer research.
